Hes so cute. I like a bit of poly in the ears. I would even put a few plastic pellets in the ear at the bottom so they flop around a bit and I think I would sew around just the top part of the ear. You ever see a dachshund run around and their ear flop as they run? So cute. Got to make one. 😉
OMG! Those doxies are so stinking cute! I'm going to try to make one for my daughter going off to college! We have a doxie named Penny. She's gonna miss her so now she can have "Penny" with her at school! Thanks Tracey! ❤
Thank you for sharing Tracy. Very much like you, I like pictures or even better !!. Videos on RUclips. Thanks for people like you showing us what to do, and pointing out the adjustments needed for the pattern. ❤🎉😊
As a Doxie-Mama to THREE mini-weenies, this is a MUST for me. Now, as a really, really novice sewist…🤞🏼. Wish me luck! And please, could we do more tutorials like this?! Taking a pattern and translating it to making it it is really helpful! Thank you so much! 😊 ~Kelly
Because I am not very good at using computers, I have already asked someone to help me find this pattern. This would make perfect gifts for children (and even for old ladies like me). I love that beautiful print fabric you used in this video. Your fancy little wiener hounds are beautiful. Daddy always wanted a black dachshund. He ended up with a tiny, black, short haired, mixed breed, puppy that he found starving at the city dump. He named her Penny. Penny loved Daddy all the rest of her life. When he was home she was always near him.
First of all and most importantly.......Your granddaughter is adorable! Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial and letting us know how to get the free pattern. I see some doxies in my future........................
Bobkin... ;) these doxies are so stinking cute!! I have a mixed breed dachsund, and my quilting friend has a pure bred dachshund! I need to make several of these for Christmas!! ❤ thank you Tracy for your detailed tutorial! I appreciate all your effort to make this available for us! Blessings! ❤
You can reprint the second one to 100% again and it will be bigger. I did that with a potholder pattern that just wasn't big enough the first two times I enlarged it.
I recently checked Tilda out! I am in LOVE! I saved this pattern. Glad I watched you first. You used beautiful fabrics. And don't forget, we Buckeyes have no tax this weekend on our quilt fabric!!
I got that pattern a long time ago but hadn’t made it! Will make it soon I hope! Love your fun fabric!I will probably sew his ears on before putting him together!
I had the same thought of sewing on ears first ....the problem in doing that was the curved seam allowance on the head...when you try to make you'll know what I mean.🤷🏻♀️
I would sew this and then cut the shape out. Having made lots of bunnies with curves I find it is so much easier. And sew the .25 inch seam allowance with my .25 inch foot. My freind with doxies would love this! The tool used is a bodkin. A hemostat works well too.
I used make these kinds of stuffed animals all the time when my granddaughter was a little girl, she loved every one :) I have painful arthritis now, sadly, and I can’t turn those tight corners anymore. I miss the fun though
Omg! These are beyond precious!!! I am definitely gonna give this a try!!!! What is the name of that Gorgeous & Vibrant fabric you are using for the top part of your puppy? SO BEAUTIFUL!!
Hi Tracy. I love to watch your videos, also I see you have been using a different sewing machine, didn't you have a Singer Modern Quilter Sewing Machine? would you consider selling it, if you have it, I always wanted the Modern Quilter but by the time I was able to buy one they discontinued the machine.🙁
Tracy if you want to look at everything Tilda that they have for a Tilda Show Cary Quilt company store had it 3 years ago on line 05/27/21 Cary NC I bet your granddaughter would love the dolls that they have patterns for check them out Tracy your love it
The poly gives the ears dimension. Don't leave it out! Thanks Tracy! Great video‼️‼️💕

It’s a bodkin. Used for putting drawstring or ribbon in a casing.
Tracy, you are the Quilting Queen of Kindness. Thank you for all your love, dedication, and patience to the quilting community. 🎶💐💖🫂
Thank you for such kind words Carla♥️
Your video plus the details of how to make the tight spots come together 🎉 are awesome! I will share with pictures once I am able to make it.
I've been teaching kids how to sew for 8 years. This dog is the kids' favorite😂 item to make. They can never have to many of these for fun
I'm going to add this to our curriculum!
And if I could find a cute cat 🐈.... that is of similar construction/difficulty
❤😊 Adorable idea!! ❤😊

This is so cute!
Possibly the 16” length could measure from ends of nose to tail.?
Seam allowance may need to be added that would most likely be the size difference
Adorable ❤it

I own 3 broken printers, go figure!! A lot of work but at least 5 people I know would enjoy getting one.
How cute!

Bodkin!
Sweet.
The thing is called a bodkin for turning.
You have to tape pieces together in most digital patterns.
Hello, je ne trouve pas le patron à télécharger 😢, mais j’ai réussi pour les explications 😊.
bodkin :)
YES!!!! Thank you!!!!!❣️
Where can I find that fabric?.. Love this little guy ‼️❤️
Check info box ....I listed the 2 fabrics I used in the video❤️
I love it. I have a dapper dachshund that is 12 years old. Do you have a cat pattern?
It’s called a bodkin.
Years ago when I took home economics in school, I made a puppy. Mine wasn’t a dachshund.
16” includes the tail.
Bodkin

@@TheSewingChannel Thank you!
@TheSewingChannel hi! I just found this daschund and would luv the pattern. Can you link it, your version? Tilda must not show it any longer. OH, No!
Bobkin
You need to print the pattern at 100% and you will need A4 size paper.
